The Mitsubishi Steel Group is engaged in the manufacture and sale of specialty steel products, springs, profiles, and equipment, as well as the transportation and service businesses related to these products. The company operates four businesses. The specialty steel business manufactures and sells specialty steel products (carbon steel, low alloy steel, spring steel, tool steel, non-alloyed steel, free-cutting steel, bearing steel, and nitride steel). The Springs Business manufactures and sells leaf springs, coil springs, stabilizers, torsion bars, coiled wave springs, precision springs, various hinge products, precision pressed products, resin molded products, pressed assemblies, rubber pads for shoe plates, tire protectors, tire chains, and other repair parts and supplies for automobiles and construction machinery. In the Profiles business, the Company manufactures and sells steel castings, precision castings, precision machined components, general forgings, special alloy materials and processed products, permanent magnets, magnet application parts, special alloy powders, and fine powders. The equipment business manufactures and sells forging machines, general industrial machinery, steel components, environmental equipment, magnetic separators, conveyance equipment, instrumentation equipment, and anti-vibration devices. The company also provides ocean transportation, freight forwarding and warehousing services. |
