The Sumitomo Forestry Group, based on its forestry business, purchases, manufactures, processes, and sells timber and building materials; constructs and remodels detached houses and other buildings; sells condominiums; manages and mediates real estate; and conducts related business activities in Japan and overseas. The company operates in three segments. The timber and building materials business purchases, manufactures, processes, and sells timber and building materials. The housing business includes construction, after-maintenance and remodeling of detached houses and apartment complexes, sales of condominiums, sales of interior design products, real estate leasing, management, sales and brokerage, exterior landscaping and landscaping, urban greening, CAD and site surveys. In the overseas business, we manufacture and sell timber and building materials, sell houses for sale, and contract construction work for detached houses and other properties. Other businesses include the biomass power generation business, overseas afforestation business, operation of nursing homes for the elderly, insurance agency business, manufacturing and sales of materials for agriculture and gardening, and contracting for civil engineering and construction work. |
