Mizuho Financial Group shall engage in the management and administration of bank holding companies, banks, securities companies, and other companies that may be made subsidiaries under the Banking Act and other businesses incidental thereto, and other businesses that may be conducted by bank holding companies under the Banking Act. The company operates through five business segments. The Retail and Business Enterprise Company segment serves domestic individual, small and medium-sized business customers. The Large Corporations, Financial Institutions, and Public Corporations Company segment serves large corporate, financial, and public sector clients in Japan. The Global Corporate Company segment provides services to clients such as Japanese and non-Japanese companies that have expanded overseas. The Global Markets Company segment is engaged in investments in interest rate, equity, credit, and other areas. The Asset Management Company segment develops products and provides services to meet the asset management needs of clients ranging from individual to institutional investors. |
