The Asahi Kasei Group is engaged in the materials business and housing business. The company's business consists of three business segments. The Materials Business is comprised of the Fibers Business, which includes Capra Fibers, Polyurethane Fibers, Nonwoven Fabrics and Nylon 66 Fibers; the Chemicals Business, which includes petrochemicals, high-performance polymers and high-performance materials and consumer goods; and the Electronics Business, which includes separators for lithium secondary batteries, separators for lead-acid batteries, mixed-signal large-scale integrated circuits (LSIs) and Hall elements. The housing business consists of the housing business, which includes construction work (detached houses and apartment buildings), real estate, renovation, and other housing-related businesses, and the building materials business, which includes lightweight aerated concrete, insulation materials, foundation piles, and structural materials. The Health Care segment consists of the pharmaceutical, medical and critical care businesses, including prescription drugs and diagnostic reagents. This includes the engineering business, various research and information provision businesses, and temporary staffing and introduction businesses. |
